You are responsible for keeping the time. It is easy to forget that your dog has stopped barking after he stops. You may have to start howling again if you don’t reward him in time. It is important to stay focused.
You can train your dog by using your voice. After your dog has mastered the art of keeping quiet, you can get him to tell you what the problem is by asking easily-understandable questions.
If you say “speak” with authority, your dog may respond by barking or howling, especially if the object is related to what they want.
If your dog is begging to pee outside, you can ask him to “speak”, and then knock on the front door to make sure. You’ll know that he wants to be outside if he barks at you when you knock.
Here are some simple rules –
- Ignore his howling so that he will understand it’s not a good way to get attention.
- Treat him to a treat for being quiet so that he will understand that quietness is best for him.
- Create a voice command that he will respond to. This will give you an idea of what he is looking for.
