Feeding Free
Free feeding is when you leave food on the table for your dog to graze at any time.
This is a great method for dogs who are healthy and don’t have a food obsession. They won’t eat all their food at once, but will only eat when they are hungry.
This is a great way to feed dogs who are active or nursing.
Free feeding is not recommended for dogs with diabetes or if you have pets and other dogs around the house.
- In a household with multiple pets, it is difficult to track the food intake of each animal.
- This can lead to arguments or one dog eating more and the other not getting enough food.
We recommend that you only use dry food, as it won’t spoil. Keep an eye on the food to ensure it doesn’t attract insects, rodents or scavengers.
