4. Brittle Nails
Brittle nails can be caused by a number of underlying conditions. Your nails can reveal a lot about you and your health. The nails can become brittle and softer during menopause. You may find that your nails are brittle or break easily.
It could be a sign of nutritional deficiencies or, in the case a women going through menopause, an imbalanced hormone. Dehydration can be caused by lower estrogen levels. The skin, hair, and nails become drier. The nails can also become brittle and develop ridges, or even infections at the cuticles or nail bed.
