2. Hot Flashes
Hot Flashes may begin 10 years before menopause. Many women find this symptom distressing when they are going through perimenopause and menopause. Hot flashes are a sudden surge of heat in the upper part of the body.
During a hot flash, some women may get red spots on their chests, arms and faces. Hot flashes are also accompanied by heavy sweating. Hot flashes are common among women who have trouble sleeping at night. These flushes can be caused by a drop in hormone levels.
