3. Bladder or Urinary Tract infections
The symptoms of bacterial vaginosis are not limited to vaginal discharge and an unpleasant smell. The bacterial infection can also lead to other conditions and infections in the body, especially if left untreated.
You can have both a bladder and urinary tract infection and bacterial vaginitis. If you feel pain and difficulty while urinating, or when having sex with someone else, you may have either one of these infections.
You may have a recurring bladder infection or urinary tract infection due to bacterial vaginosis. It could also be caused by underlying allergies, such as to fabric or washing powder. If you notice any symptoms or signs that are recurring, consult your doctor. You can then work to find and treat the underlying cause.
