How much sleep is really necessary each night? Others may need nine hours but still feel tired. Some people need six hours of sleep, but worry that it’s not enough. Everyone has different needs and requirements for sleep, i.e. different amounts of rest.
The genetic disposition of an individual, lifestyle and levels of activity are all factors that influence sleep needs. As you age, your sleep requirements change.
You can check your sleep by noticing extreme feelings of drowsiness the next morning. You’ve probably gotten enough sleep if you don’t wake up feeling tired and you haven’t set an alarm.
