3. You use the toilet too often
Insomnia is often caused by constant urination. The brain can become active when you get out of bed, causing your body to be restless. You may find it difficult to fall asleep once you get back into bed.
There’s nothing wrong if you go to the toilet to relieve yourself. However, frequent urination could be a sign of a bladder infection, a UTI, or an enlarged prostate. These infections can cause burning sensations that make you want to urinate all night. This can also be an indication of heart failure or diabetes.
Drinking too much fluids just before going to bed can also cause this. The body can wait up to eight hours before peeing. It is normal to get up and pee once or twice at night. To avoid this, you can reduce your fluid intake between two and three hours before bedtime.
