Tim Young, another firefighter Liz met at the diner and who was aware of their situation, wanted to lend a hand. He tried to come up with the best solution and came up this idea.

He posted the link to the GoFundMe and wrote: “Turns Out, the young lady that gave us a meal for free is the one who could use the support …”. At that time, the fundraiser still had a way to go before it reached its $80,000 goal. Tim hoped he could do a small amount to help by sharing the GoFundMe page. He had no idea how people would react!
