Some news bloopers do not come from anchors and field reporters who miss a beat. Often, it’s the production crew that is at fault. In 2014, an anchor from WWSB Sarasota gave her evening report without realizing what was happening.
Images are often superimposed alongside an anchor’s news report. They serve as visual guides to the viewers. The photos should only be superimposed on the screen next to or alongside the reporter, and not overtop. In this unfortunate instance, the anchor’s pig-headedness was exacerbated by the news that wild board were running amok in Sarasota.
