Even weather forecasters can be affected by annoying computer notifications. Metinka Slater, a weather forecaster on KCCI News Iowa was interrupted during a live broadcast by a popup from Microsoft recommending a Windows 10 upgrade. Slater tried to ignore it at first, but finally gave in and integrated the technical glitch into her presentation.
Slater reads out the notification and asks rhetorically, “Don’t You Love When That Pops Up?” Before finishing her weather report without missing a step while using humor perfectly to deflect an awkward situation.
