In 2014, BBC Weatherwoman Carol Kirkwood made an hilarious mistake when she said that there would be 99 degrees everywhere. This was obviously impossible, and it caused much amusement to viewers as well everyone in the studio.
Kirkwood explained later what happened. She said she accidentally pressed the button too many times. This brought up the generic slide, which has now become a permanent fixture on Carol’s highlight reel. Even the most experienced professionals can make mistakes live on TV.
