Humanity has already begun to prepare
Some people are preparing for an asteroid to crash on Earth. These people are sometimes called doomsday preparers. These “doomsdayers”, as they are called, have built underground bunkers that include all the necessities of home: food, water and plumbing. They also provide fresh oxygen. Johnson says that there is a slim chance that an asteroid will destroy the Earth in the near future, but that if that does happen, then he wants to ensure that we are protected.
