3. Hot Flushes
Most women do not experience hot flushes before their period has stopped. This is not an unbreakable rule, and in some cases there are exceptions. Hot flushes are often compared to a rapid fever. They can be mild or severe, and there is no need for an external cause such as being in a warm room. It is more severe if it’s associated with early menopause.
The hot flushes that women experience are usually due to the rapid fall in estrogen within the body after their monthly period has stopped. This rapid drop in estrogen is the reason for many other symptoms experienced by women who are going through menopause.
