2. Drinking More Water (Hydrate).
Dehydration can be a cause of cramps. While drinking more water will not directly relieve cramps, the bloating that is associated with cramps can be reduced by increasing your water intake. The goal is to reduce the severity of cramps by treating the causes.
You may not have the “appetite” to drink a lot of water every day. This is why adding a few drops of mint, cucumber or lemon can help. Warm or hot water is recommended by experts because it promotes blood flow, relaxes tense muscles and keeps the body hydrated.
Drink 6-8 glasses of filtered water every day, and especially during periods. If you want your body to retain water, you should avoid alcohol and excess salt. It is important to stay hydrated not only for menstrual cramps, but also for your overall health.
