39. Grady wants to talk
Grady’s heart beat and sweat ran down his face darkening the collar. He could see Hank and his deputies staring at Roland in awe. The only person on board the ship that could see the ship sinking was Roland.
He was not a rat and would not jump off the boat.
He said, “Excuse Me.” He strode towards Roland. Butch stood up, and Roland raised his hand. He sat almost instantly.
40. Grady makes his case
“Roland Redding was here a couple of weeks ago and suddenly he is going to be our new pastor. Grady almost spat into the microphone. He blinked away the sweat that rolled in his eyes. “Pastor Michaels retired at 41. I have never seen Mr. Redding in the church during the time that he has been here. “I don’t even know where he is from. Do you?”
He continued, “We don’t know anything about him. He just appeared out of the blue. Now he’s all of your closest friends.
It’s a bit odd, isn’t it?
