Magic Johnson – $600 Million
Magic Johnson was born to a working couple. They worked long hours in order to survive. His parents sacrifices were worth it because he became one of basketball’s greatest players and pursued a career in the sport. He wasn’t just another rich man, but he managed to make a fortune of $600 million.
Johnson played his entire NBA career for the Los Angeles Lakers. They won five NBA Championships with his contribution. He has been battling HIV for almost 30 years, but he is still doing well. Johnson is now a part-owner of Los Angeles Dodgers.
LeBron James: $480 Million
LeBron has made himself almost half a million dollars (480 million dollars to be exact) at only 35 years old. It’s not difficult to reach that figure, especially if you bank around $100 million a year.
James earns at least $55m from endorsements with brands such as McDonald’s and Microsoft. The rest comes from his salary (currently, from the Los Angeles Lakers). James’ first NBA season began in 2003, when he joined the Cleveland Cavaliers. They are still his most-played team today. James has won two Olympic golds as a result of his participation in the sport.
