10. Arthritis and its Consequences
Arthritisis an inflammation and swelling condition of the joints. Although arthritis is often associated with aging, it can affect anyone at any age. It’s not just a problem for the elderly.
There are many different types of arthritis. These include rheumatism, or rheumatoid, and osteoarthritis. Depending on the type, your body can be affected in different ways, and you may experience a variety of symptoms, not just pain and swelling.
The eyes are one of the first areas that can be affected by an arthritis flare up. Blurred vision or impaired sight may result from the inflammation associated with arthritis, and this will then affect the rest of your body.
Most cases are easily managed, especially during the early stages. Consult your doctor if symptoms or a family history are present.
