14. Green Tea
Green Tea, is what rooibos is to Southern Africa. Green tea is consumed in China as small amounts throughout the day and before and after meals. This helps with digestion. Green tea is shown to slow or prevent cancer in colon, pancreas and liver cells, as well as breast and prostate. Green tea has been shown to protect skin and lung cells.
Green tea has shown promising results in some long-term studies for the prevention of cancers of the bladder, stomach and pancreas. Researchers are doing more research to determine the exact effects of green tea compounds and how much it can help. If you do not like the taste of green tea, try a pure extract. Make sure that it does not contain any artificial additives or preservatives.
