4. DOMS
DOMS stands for Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness. This is the pain we feel in our muscles after a hard workout or intense exercise. This pain has a number of causes. It could be due to the accumulation of metabolites in the muscles (certain chemicals), or to tiny microtears (damage of the muscle cells).
DOMS can be a painful condition that affects the pectoral muscle beneath the breasts. It usually occurs one to two days after an intense workout, but not necessarily. DOMS could be the result of moving furniture or gardening.
This pain may be worse when you move your arms in a pushing motion or a hinging movement. Try stretching after workouts, and slowly returning to normal movements even if the pain is slight.
