Saunas can also make us feel better emotionally. This is partly because of the relaxation but also because heat directly affects our production endorphins, which are feel-good hormonal. This helps us leave the sauna feeling happy and relaxed.
Post-workout, endorphins also are produced. When you combine a sauna session with an intense workout, you will feel great and rested. Endorphins, which are analgesic by nature, will contribute to the pain reduction we have already discussed.
