6. Luteal Phase
The fluid produced will also change when ovulation is over. The fluid produced after ovulation may not be visible at first but it will become more fibrous, making it harder for the sperms to penetrate. The luteal period is the first two days following ovulation. This phase of menstrual cycles inhibits fluid secretion by the epithelial cell.
There may not be much discharge during this period. If there is discharge, it’s usually sticky or unique to you. Every woman is different and fluids and discharges can appear differently, or be experienced or interpreted in a variety of ways. The female body goes through many phases of discharge. These are mainly the preparation for fertilization.
